Redaction and Highlighting

Safeguard privilege and confidential information during eDiscovery with flexible, easy-to-use redaction capabilities, and use document highlighting to support sophisticated and multi-tier review teams.

Redaction

The Stratify Legal Discovery™ service processes converts documents on-demand, in real-time into a searchable PDF for highlighting or redaction. Within the Stratify Redaction Editor reviewers can:

  • Redact text
  • Redact images and rectangular areas
  • Find and redact specific words or phrases

Accepting and “burning” the final redacted version of a document ensures that all redacted layers are removed so the final redacted version of the document cannot be reversed engineered to reveal redacted content.

Redacted instances of the document are immediately available in the review environment with the review work product. Redacted instances are used by default in productions, although clients can designate the original document if appropriate.

Attorneys always have the option to revise redactions or revert to the original PDF to develop a completely different set of redactions.

Highlighting

Attorneys can create a highlighted instance of any document and highlight any text, rectangular area, or automatically find and highlight any word or phrase across an entire document. Attorneys can also add comments to highlights, and easily navigate among highlighted terms in a document. The highlighting capability of the Stratify Legal Discovery service provides a handy mechanism to identify key terms or areas of a document for other attorneys or reviewers when the document is assigned to a Work Folder for subsequent workflow.
