Concept-based Review and
Smart Issue Folders

Documents are automatically organized into concept folders specific to the matter, and concept hierarchies support multiple foreign languages. Attorneys can also create Smart Issue folders using foreign language terms to organize the document set according to their specific interests.

Search

Easily search foreign language documents from computers configured with the US-English locale or foreign language locale such as Japanese, Shift JIS.

Foreign language terms can be used to search the document text as well as text-based metadata fields, such as title, author, annotation, etc. US-based attorneys using machines that are configured with the US-English locale can easily change the locale on the application server via a toolbar setting. This enables them to phonetically enter terms in Chinese, Japanese, Korean or other supported complex languages.

The application automatically transliterates the term(s) and displays the foreign language terms that provide a match based on the characteristics of the target language. For example, when an attorney changes the locale to Japanese and Input mode to Hiragana, typing in “shingou” will yield , together with a few other possible variants, from which the attorney can select the correct terms and execute the search.

Native File Access

All documents can be displayed in their native applications, enabling reviewers to directly access embedded metadata such as hidden columns in spreadsheets and tracked-changes in documents.

Attorneys can review properties, and add or edit annotations, privilege logs and custom codes in foreign languages.
