Mike Finley is the Director of East Coast field operations for Stratify, Inc., the electronic discovery services division of Iron Mountain.
Prior to joining Stratify, Mr. Finley was a member of the Executive Management Team at Applied Discovery, arguably the first electronic discovery services company in the legal industry, which ultimately was acquired by LexisNexis.
Mr. Finley also served as in-house counsel with Constellation Energy Group in Baltimore, MD, where his work included structuring and negotiating purchase, sale and asset acquisition transactions for the Fortune 500 commodity marketing and trading company, and advising the company’s Corporate Strategy and Development unit in the evaluation of certain merger and acquisition-related projects. Prior to joining Constellation Energy Group, Mr. Finley practiced in the Washington, DC office of Crowell & Moring LLP, where he worked primarily in the firm’s Corporate & Antitrust practice groups.
Mr. Finley’s education includes a J.D., awarded cum laude, from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, where he was a member of The Catholic University Law Review and a Moot Court associate, and a B.A. in American Government from The University of Virginia. He has been admitted to the practice of law in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Mr. Finley is a frequent author and speaker on the topic of electronic discovery. His article on backup tape restoration was one of the first e-discovery related articles ever published in The Legal Times.
