Why Work For Stratify?

Name: Anand Rajasekar
Title: Senior Member of Technical Staff

Education: B.E Computer Science

What did you do before you came to Stratify?

I worked as a Java programmer building multi-threaded, clusterable and highly available application servers. I designed and implemented cryptography services that included Symmetric and Asymmetric ciphers, digital envelopes, signed digital envelopes, credential stores, secure tokens and certificate management. I had also designed and implemented a stage based xml processor for data processing. And I had architected and implemented J2EE applications as well as designing and implementing caching infrastructure across clusters.

Why did you decide to come to Stratify?

While I was looking for a job where I could apply my previous experience designing scalable systems, I really wanted an opportunity to take on new challenges on a large scale.  Stratify was the perfect fit because of the sheer volume of data processed. Stratify also had a great reputation for work culture with strong emphasis on code quality and best practices. I was very impressed with how sharp their team of engineers was and I wanted to be part of that team.

What interesting projects have you worked on at Stratify?

So far, I’ve really enjoyed working on the document processing infrastructure because I get to create solutions for very large quantities of data.

What do you like about working at Stratify?

The excellent work culture!  I relish the freedom to interact openly with my peers and management. They do a great job of communicating the big and small picture strategy and vision to the whole company. The emphasis here on quality and best practices is far more rigorous than any of the other places I’ve been in and I love that challenge. The emphasis on constant measurement means I get immediate feedback on what I am working on – helps me constantly learn & improve. I also like the fact that Stratify believes in maintaining a balance between process and speed which has meant my development pace is not merely quick but also methodical.
